There’s danger of Arsenal slipping out of top four – Martin Keown

Arsenal legend, Martin Keown, has claimed the team is in danger of slipping out of the Premier League top four.

Keown was speaking on TNT Sports after the Gunners played out a drab 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.

The result leaves Mikel Arteta’s men 13 points off leaders Liverpool, who beat Newcastle 2-0 at home.

With the title race all but over, Keown has now warned that Arsenal could also be fighting to finish in Champions League places.

He said: “Just because you can’t be champions doesn’t mean that you throw it all away.

“If they don’t score goals there is a danger that they might slip out of the top four.

“Tonight when you come away with a point you think that is important because it means Forest don’t get any closer to catching them.

“Rest, recover and then they are away to Manchester United, and they must win.”
