NPFL: Nasarawa United deserved to beat us – Remo Stars boss, Ogunmodede

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, says Nasarawa United deserved to beat his team in Wednesday’s matchday 26 encounter.

The Sky Blue Stars fell 1-0 to their hosts at the Lafia City Stadium.

Ogunmodede’s side were favourites to win the contest but were subdued by the home team, who put a resolute display.

The young tactician said his players gave their best but it wasn’t enough on the day.

“We did our best in the game today, but the outcome wasn’t good enough for us,” Ogunmodede said in his post match reaction.

“Nasarawa United needed the points more than us. They played very well today, and I am still surprised to see them where they are on the league table.

“They gave their best and got what they worked for. We didn’t create so much chances, I think they deserved the win.”
