NPFL: Rivers vs Katsina United called off due to heavy downpour

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL matchday 26 encounter between Rivers United and Katsina United has been postponed until Friday morning due to a heavy downpour at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.

The match was stopped at half-time as the rain left the pitch waterlogged.

The Pride of Rivers were leading 1-0, thanks to Ubong Friday’s 17th-minute strike.

Media Talk Africa learnt that the game will resume at 9 am on Friday morning, with the remaining half to be played.

Rivers United are currently fifth on the NPFL table with 39 points.
