Championship: Ajayi set for spell out with hamstring injury

Sky Bet Championship club, West Bromwich Albion, have announced that Semi Ajayi will be sidelined for several weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury.

Ajayi was substituted in the 41st minute of West Brom’s 2-0 victory over Oxford United last weekend.

The Baggies stated that the Nigeria international will now enter a period of rehabilitation after undergoing surgery.

The 31-year-old is expected to return to action before the end of the season.

Media Talk Africa recalls that Ajayi recently returned to action after missing out for around four months due to a hamstring injury.

The centre-back has made 14 appearances for Albion this season.
