Trump set to order investigation of fraud, waste in Ukraine aid

President Donald Trump is considering launching an investigation into alleged fraud and waste of aid to Ukraine amid the ongoing war with Russia, Reuters reports.

This comes shortly after a heated exchange between Trump, his deputy JD Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The talks between Trump and Zelensky at the Oval Office broke down, with the Ukrainian President later seen leaving the White House.

Media Talk Africa reports that Zelensky was in the United States to sign a minerals deal with President Trump.

However, it has now been confirmed that the formal agreement will not proceed for the time being.
