Uproar as Wike lands in Port Harcourt after Supreme Court judgement against Fubara

Uproar as Wike lands in Port Harcourt after Supreme Court judgement against Fubara

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has arrived in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, hours after a Supreme Court victory against Governor Simi Fubara.

The spokesperson for Wike, in a video on Friday, said his principal had arrived in Port Harcourt.

“Nyerisi has landed in Port Harcourt,” he said.

This comes after the Supreme Court on Friday ruled in favour of the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Wike.

The Supreme Court stopped the Central Bank of Nigeria from releasing monthly disbursements to Rivers State until a lawful Appropriation Law is enacted under the Martin Amaewhule speakership.

The apex court also declared the Rivers local government election illegal.

Reacting, Wike, in a viral video, said, “God has honoured me.”
