NPFL: Yaro Yaro hails Kano Pillars’ comeback win over Rangers

Kano Pillars interim head coach, Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro, has hailed the team’s comeback win over holders Rangers.

The Sai Masu Gida came back from one goal down to beat Fidelis Ilechukwu’s men 2-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium,Kofar Mata on Sunday.

Bashir Usman put Rangers in front from the penalty spot three minutes after the half hour mark.

Pillars however rallied through goals from veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali and Jerry Alex.

“It’s not often that a team comes from behind to win against a side like Rangers,” Garba said after the game.

“The players fought hard today. They showed commitment and played for me. I’m proud of them.”

The four-time champions moved to fourth position in the table following the win.
