Champions League last 16: Michael Owen picks four teams that can win trophy

Former England striker, Michael Owen, has claimed that four teams have a “real chance” of winning the Champions League this season.

The Round of 16 begins on Tuesday across Europe.

It will see Premier League clubs Arsenal and Aston Villa take on PSV and Club Brugge respectively.

There is also a much anticipated Derby between Madrid rivals Real and Atletico, while Borussia Dortmund face Lille.

On Wednesday, Premier League leaders Liverpool are away at PSG and Barcelona take on Benfica.

Bayern Munich will face domestic rivals Bayer Leverkusen and Feyenoord host Inter Milan.

“My Champions League favourites are Liverpool, above Real Madrid,” Owen told BoyleSports.

“You can also look at Barcelona and Bayern Munich as having a real chance.

“There’s a handful of teams who can win it, but I’d definitely say Liverpool and Real Madrid are the two teams at the moment.”
