UCL: Why we lost 7-1 to Arsenal – PSV manager, Bosz

PSV manager, Peter Bosz, has admitted it was a “terrible night” for his team as they lost 7-1 to Arsenal in the Champions League last 16.

The Eredivisie side are all but out of the competition following the heavy defeat in front of their fans.

Jurrien Timber opened the scoring for Arsenal, before Ethan Nwaneri made it 2-0.

Mikel Merino added a third goal, before PSV pulled one back from the penalty spot.

However, in the third half, Arteta’s men ran riot with Martin Odegaard scoring twice to win comprehensively.

“Terrible night for us.

“No chance. Maybe two moments in the game – our first chance after 15 minutes when we hit the bar and the second yellow were moments to come back in the game.

“Football wise we had no chance. We were not in our best form. Arsenal played fantastic, we had no chance tonight.

“We had a plan we analysed them we thought that we could hurt them somewhere but if you look at how we defended, really poor. You can not be successful if you play this way,” Bosz told reporters.
