Morocco 2025: South Africa throws stadium gates open to fans for Flamingos clash

The South African Football Association, SAFA, has thrown the gates open for their 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.

Bantwana will host the Flamingos in the first leg of the second-round qualifying tie at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, Pretoria, on Saturday.

“Come show your love and support the team in this crucial World Cup qualifier on Saturday. Entry is free” SAFA wrote on X.

South Africa thrashed Gabon 21-2 on aggregate to secure a date with the Flamingos.

The 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup bronze medallists, Nigeria, received a bye to the second round.

The reverse fixture is scheduled to take place at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, on Saturday, 15 March.

The winner on aggregate will progress to the third round of the qualification campaign.
