Gary Neville worries for Man Utd striker Hojlund

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has admitted that he is ‘worried’ about the performances of striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Neville said it is sad to see the Denmark international really struggling for the Red Devils this season.

Hojlund has failed to score a goal in 18 games for Man United.

He featured as Ruben Amorim’s side were eliminated from the FA Cup by Fulham on Sunday.

“I thought Manchester United would have a scare but get through against Fulham,” Neville said on The Overlap US.

“They have got injuries which are a factor but the balance of the team is wrong. They have got no pace up front. They started with Hojlund, Zirkzee and Eriksen.

“Hojlund had a really difficult game [against Fulham], it was a worry. That was my biggest takeaway from the game, there is a lad that now hasn’t scored in 18 games.

“I have to say I think he’s got a bit of talent and has something physically. But he’s short of confidence at the moment and he is really struggling. It’s sad.

“But then again, what chance has Hojlund got with Zirkzee and Eriksen behind him? They haven’t got attacking full-backs either.”

Hojlund joined Man United in the summer of 2023 from Atalanta.
