Champions League: PSG far superior than Liverpool – Enrique

Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique has claimed that his team was far superior than Liverpool during both sides’ UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie on Wednesday night in Paris.

Enrique watched as Liverpool ended PSG’s 22-game unbeaten run.

Harvey Elliott scored the only goal in 87 minutes of the game.

PSG had several chances but Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker made none good saves to deny the hosts a goal.

“I don’t think it’s too difficult to analyse tonight’s game. We were far superior to Liverpool,” Enrique said after the game.

“We created more chances and produced a complete performance against one of Europe’s top sides. Football can be unfair at times.

“We were far superior. We didn’t allow Liverpool to play.

“They were better than us for the first five minutes but, apart from that, it was us on top.”
