NNL: Sporting Lagos must improve in second stanza – Adegun

Sporting Lagos head coach, Shola Adegun has described their performance in the first stanza of the Nigeria National League (NNL) as disappointing.

The modest club recorded four wins, two draws and four defeats in the first stanza.

Sporting Lagos currently occupy fifth position in the Conference B table with 14 points.

Adegun expressed optimism that the team will fight hard to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football (NPFL).

β€œThe season is a bit disappointing so far, we are not where we ought to be. We want to be in the promotion spot, so far we are in the mid table that put us in delicate situation,” Adegun told Sporting Lagos media.

β€œOur goals remain the same, honestly we have to try and get back promotion to the elite division, and as long as it is still mathematically possible we have to give everything that we have to still try to achieve that goal.”
