Manchester United: There’s unrest, many things going on – Meulensteen reveals

Former Manchester United coach, Rene Meulensteen, has said that the Red Devils have struggled since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club.

Ferguson left Manchester United on May 8, 2013, at the end of the 2012-2013 season.

His former assistant, Meulensteen, believes things have not been the same since then with the club.

According to him, it is in a state of constant decline.

The Dutch, Meulensteen, joined Manchester United during the legendary stewardship of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Speaking in a recent interview, Meulensteen noted that the Red Devils are in unrest, on and off the pitch.

He said via centredevils, “Manchester United has not been Manchester United since Sir Alex Ferguson left. It has been a constant decline.

“Not only that, but there’s so many other things from Manchester United that cause uproar. It is a club in unrest – on and off the pitch.”

Media Talk Africa reports that the Red Devils are going through their worst campaign in over three decades, struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

They have changed managers once this season, with Ruben Amorim replacing Erik ten Hag in November.

However, the Portuguese tactician has been unable to improve United’s fortunes.

The struggling Manchester-based club will face Arsenal on Sunday.

Recall that during an interview in 2022, club legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, had said there was a lot of decay at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese slammed the club’s hierarchy, the then manager Erik ten Hag and even his teammates as of them.

Ronaldo never returned to the club after the interview.
