This is Mourinho – Super Eagles defender Balogun warns Rangers players

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has warned his Rangers team-mates about Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho ahead of their Europa League last-16 second-leg clash.

The Gers won the first leg of the tie 3-1 in Turkey last week.

While the Scottish side had the weekend off, Balogun has urged his team-mates to perform at their optimal level this Thursday if they want to reach the quarter-finals.

“It’s a big week with two perfect fixtures,” Balogun told the Daily Record.

“Obviously, Fenerbahçe is first up, and we had a very good result over there, but we’re going against the Special One with some very good players, and I think it’s far from over.

“I can only speak for myself, but it really is like that (one game at a time). I don’t think about the weekend so much. Obviously, it is there, but those games are always big.”

After the Fenerbahçe game, Rangers take on Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.
