I’m happy Rashford left Man Utd – Jim Ratcliffe

Manchester United co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has expressed happiness forward Marcus Rashford left the club.

Rashford left Man United in January transfer window to join Premier League rivals Aston Villa on loan.

This comes after the England international was frozen out of manager Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Rashford was left out of Man United’s squad for several matches before he eventually joined Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season.

He is expected to be back in the summer but his loan deal at Villa contained an option to buy.

Speaking to BBC, Ratcliffe said: “I’m pleased for Marcus Rashford, he’s moved out of Manchester.”

“It’s probably a good thing for him,” he added.

Rashford has not scored for Aston Villa yet, but he has made influential appearances, including assisting two goals in the match against Chelsea.
