2026 WCQ: CAF names Moroccan referee for Rwanda vs Super Eagles

Moroccan referee Jayed Jalal will be at the center when Rwanda hosts Nigeria in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying tie, Media Talk Africa reports.

The matchday five encounter, slated for the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, has been fixed for Friday, March 21.

Jalal’s compatriots, Mostapha Akarkad and Hamza Nassiri, will serve as first and second assistant referees, respectively.

Media Talk Africa recalls that the 37-year-old officiated the Super Eagles’ international friendly against Ghana’s Black Stars on March 22, 2024.

The Super Eagles won the game, played in Marrakech, Morocco, 2-1.

Rwanda tops Group C with seven points from four games.

Nigeria occupies fifth position in the group with three points from the same number of matches.
