Champions League: PSG manager Luis Enrique predicts team to play final

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has predicted that the winner of his side’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg tie against Liverpool will reach the Champions League final later this year.

Enrique spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of PSG’s Champions League return leg against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

The Spaniard, who led Barcelona to Champions League glory in 2015, said: “Over the course of two games, we will see two of the best teams in Europe. Two contenders for the final, and whoever goes through tomorrow will go on to reach the final.”

PSG head into the match after losing 1-0 in the first leg last week in Paris.

The winner of Tuesday’s clash at Anfield will face either Aston Villa or Club Brugge in the quarter-finals in April.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are the current holders of the Champions League, having defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in last year’s final.
