2026 World Cup qualifier: Zimbabwe unveils squad for Super Eagles clash

Zimbabwe head coach, Michael Nees, on Wednesday unveiled a 23-man squad for his team’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin Republic and Nigeria.

Udinese defender Jordan Zemura, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Marshall Munetsi, and experienced forward Walter Musona are some of the key stars on the list.

Musona is making a return to the team after retiring in 2022.

Captain Marvelous Nakamba, however, was omitted due to injury.

The Warriors will face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, on Thursday, 20th March.

Nees’ side will then be away to the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Tuesday, 25th March.

Zimbabwe currently sit bottom of Group C with two points from four games.
