UCL: Joe Cole predicts Arsenal’s quarter-final clash with Real Madrid

Former Chelsea star, Joe Cole has made a prediction for Arsenal’s upcoming UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid.

Both Arsenal and Real Madrid both booked their places in the last-8 on Wednesday night.

The Gunners defeating PSV 9-3 over two legs.

The Los Blancos, on their part, defeated their LaLiga rivals Atletico Madrid via penalties shootout.

Arsenal and Real Madrid will now meet in the Champions League last-8 next month.

However, Cole strongly believes Mikel Arteta’s side have what it takes to beat any team including Real Madrid over the two legs in the last-8.

“This team and this club (Arsenal) can beat anybody over two legs,”Cole told TNT Sports after Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with PSV.

“There is a lot of holes in their squad at the moment, they have not got a recognised striker. A lot of injuries. But sometimes that can galvanise you.

“Sometimes, something will click, there will be a moment and they will go, ‘Right lads, we have an opportunity here’.”

Arsenal have never won the Champions League before in their history.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are the record winners having clinched 15 Champions League trophies.
