Houses destroyed as Adamawa villages clash over boundary

A violent clash between residents of Lamza and Kawa villages in Guyuk Local Government Area of Adamawa State over a boundary dispute has led to the destruction of four thatched huts.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, was contained in a post by security analyst, Zagazola Makama on X on Saturday.

According to Makama, the confrontation between the two communities erupted around 10:15 a.m., resulting in properties being set ablaze. However, no casualties were recorded.

“Authorities have since intervened to restore peace, and a stakeholders’ meeting has been scheduled to resolve the dispute and prevent further clashes,” he said.
