2026 World Cup qualifier: Amuneke charges Super Eagles to beat Rwanda

Heartland technical adviser Emmanuel Amuneke hopes the Super Eagles will secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Amuneke admitted that qualifying for the tournament would be a very difficult task.

The former Super Eagles forward urged Eric Chelle’s team to secure maximum points against Rwanda.

Nigeria will face Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday before returning to Uyo to play Zimbabwe next Tuesday.

“I hope the Super Eagles qualify for the World Cup next year. I wish them the very best of luck,” Amuneke told Heartland’s media.

“In their upcoming games, I hope they will be able to win. But we also have to be realistic—it’s a very difficult task because, in football, anything is possible.

“I hope the Super Eagles start with a win against Rwanda.”
