EPL: Mikel hints Chelsea could revive interest in Osimhen

Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi has hinted that the Blues could revive their interest in Victor Osimhen this summer

Osimhen was close to switching to the Stamford Bridge last summer but Chelsea were unable to meet his demands.

The 26-year-old then joined Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal.

The forward has once again been linked with Chelsea and Mikel claimed his arrival would help improve Chelsea’s attack.

“I know exactly where we stopped. If we have to pick it up again in the summer, it’s just pretty easy to get it done because the player really wants to come to the football club,” Mikel told Sky Sport.

“If you’re talking about a striker to come in and help Chelsea Football Club, you have to talk about Alexander Isak and you have to talk about Victor Osimhen. For me, these are the top two strikers.”
