President Federation Cup: Ikhenoba commends Insurance players for win over Dandidi Babes

Bendel Insurance technical adviser Greg Ikhenoba has praised his players for their performance in the victory over non-league side, Dandidi Babes.

The Benin Arsenals thrashed Dandidi Babes 5-0 in the President Federation Cup Round of 32 fixture at the Lafia City Stadium on Wednesday.

Ikhenoba stated that his players rose to the occasion in the game.

“They gave me what I wanted from them—no complacency, no dull moments,” Ikhenoba said in a post-match interview.

“It was the best way to approach a team you are unfamiliar with, especially one labelled an underdog by football followers.

“I’m pleased with the outcome. I keep saying that there are no pushovers in football anymore. The FA Cup is always full of surprises and upsets.

“So, I’m happy my boys took their responsibility seriously. Our attention now shifts to the league.”

Bendel Insurance will face Sunshine Stars in a matchday 30 fixture on Saturday.
