2026 WCQ: Rwanda star banks on home support to beat Super Eagles

Rwanda midfielder Jojea Kwizera has rallied the fans to come out in large numbers and support the team in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.

Adel Amrouche’s side will entertain the Super Eagles at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali, on Friday.

The Amavubi are unbeaten in the qualifiers, with three wins and one draw from their opening four games.

They occupy the top spot in Group D with seven points.

“Hello everyone, this is Jojea Kwizera with the Rwanda national team,” Kwizera said in a short video posted on the Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA) X handle.

“I’d like to invite everyone this Friday to come support us as we play Nigeria in our World Cup qualifier. We have a really big advantage as we play at home.

“We also have another game coming up against Lesotho. We want everyone to come and show us support.”
