2026 WCQ: Rwanda midfielder predicts tough battle against Super Eagles

Rwanda midfielder Samuel Gueulette is expecting a difficult test against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The Amavubi have enjoyed an impressive start to their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

They occupy top spot in Group C with seven points.

Gueulette and his teammates will face a difficult test against the Super Eagles at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Friday.

“We have played two times against Nigeria recently during the AFCON 2025 qualifiers. We had four points out of six against them which is very impressive as they are a very strong side. But it will be tough this time,” the Belgium-based was quoted by the New Times.

“The new stadium (Amahoro) is amazing and always full of fans. If, at least we get a point against Nigeria it would be a good result. We will do very everything to get good results.”
