Real Madrid identify two players to replace Vinicius Jr amid talk of €1bn Saudi offer

Real Madrid are looking at Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams as possible replacements for Vinicius Jr, amid rumours of a €1bn offer from Saudi Arabia.

According to SPORT, Vinicius intends to ask for a pay rise at the Bernabeu.

The Brazilian is currently one of top earners in the Los Blancos squad and is on the same wages as Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.

Vinicius is under contract until 2027, but wants to extend his deal until 2029, in return for a substantial hike in his wages.

It’s unlikely that Madrid president Florentino Pérez will cave to his demands, despite wanting the player to stay at the club.

Despite the rumours of a €1billion (£840m) offer from Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid would consider a transfer fee in excess of €250m (£209m/$273m).

If Vinicius forces the LaLiga club’s hand, it is believed they will turn to Wirtz or Williams.
