2026 World Cup qualifier: African highest goalscorers [Top 10]

Egypt winger, Mohamed Salah is currently the top goalscorer in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying series in Africa ahead of the Matchday 6 fixtures on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Salah has scored six goals as his country top Group A with 13 points after five fixtures.

The Pharoahs are five points clear of second-placed Burkina Faso and third-placed Sierra Leone

Salah is one goal ahead of teammate Mahmoud Trezeguet, who has five goals to his name.

The Liverpool star scored a goal in Egypt’s 2-0 win over Ethiopia on Friday.
Ghana forward, Jordan Ayew, has five goals to his name after scoring a goal in Ghana’s 5-0 win against Chad.

The Black Stars are on top of Group I with 12 points, with two points ahead of second-placed Madagascar.
