2026 WCQ: Chelle bars journalists, fans from Super Eagles training

The Super Eagles will train behind closed doors in Uyo on Sunday night, Media Talk Africa reports.

The three-time African champions arrived Uyo from Kigali on Saturday afternoon.

Nigeria defeated the Amavubi of Rwanda 2-0 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday five encounter at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Friday night.

According to the team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, head coach Eric Chelle has imposed restrictions in and around the team’s camp to ensure maximum concentration ahead of the team’s next game against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

Monday’s session will however be opened for the mandatory 15 minutes.

The Super Eagles will host the Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Tuesday.
