2026 WCQ: Ikpeba predicts Super Eagles rivals South Africa will drop points

Former Nigeria international Victor Ikpeba believes Group C leaders South Africa will drop points in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Bafana Bafana currently top the group with 10 points from five matches, while the Super Eagles who sit in fourth position, have six points.

The Super Eagles will host Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Tuesday (today).

South Africa will be away to the Cheetahs of Benin Republic at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan tonight.

“South Africa lost to Rwanda, it shows that they are beatable,” Ikpeba was quoted by SCORENigeria.

“They have improved under coach Hugo Broos, see how they outclassed Lesotho (Friday).

“But I have a mighty belief that South Africa will drop points somewhere and it is for the Super Eagles to win our remaining games because we want to be at the World Cup.”
