LaLiga: Valencia boss Corberán upbeat Sadiq will be fit for Mallorca clash

Valencia head coach Carlos Corberán remains positive that Sadiq Umar will be fit for Sunday’s LaLiga clash with Real Mallorca.

Sadiq trained with his teammates on Thursday after returning from international duty.

However, the 28-year-old missed Friday’s training session due to a viral infection.

There were fears he would be unavailable for the clash with Mallorca, but Corberán declared that the Nigeria international will be fit for the game.

“Sadiq was at the Ciutat Esportiva yesterday, working and getting back into the swing of things, but he couldn’t train today due to a fever. Everyone else is fine. Sadiq should train tomorrow,” Corberán was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.

The striker joined Valencia on loan from another Spanish club, Real Sociedad, in January.

He has scored four goals in eight league outings for Los Che.
