NWFL: Nasarawa Amazons target Super Six playoff spot

Nasarawa Amazons chairman, Hajiya Husaina Suleiman, has stated that the team’s target is to secure qualification for the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, Super Six playoff.

Suleiman said that the team is working hard to achieve its goal.

Nasarawa Amazons recorded their second away win of the campaign with a 3-0 thrashing of Dannaz Ladies on Wednesday.

They currently occupy third position in Group A with 18 points from nine matches.

“First, it is to qualify for the Super 6 because that is what teams are fighting for now, and we have really worked to make it happen,” Suleiman told Naira Sport.

“We give thanks to the Almighty. The win over Dannaz Ladies is the result we have been expecting, and we got it. We will continue to get more wins.

“I am proud of the girls for making the team get the deserved win. During the first stanza, we didn’t really get what we wanted because we lost matches we were not supposed to lose, but every day is progress.”
