NNL shifts commencement date for second stanza

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has expressed satisfaction with the competitive nature of the division.

NNL Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Ayo Abdulrahman, stated this while highlighting the performance and milestones from the first half of the season.

“The statistics reflect the strength of the teams and the quality of individual players this season.” Abdulrahman stated.

According to the statistics from the first stanza, Inter Lagos FC’s Othuke Egbo top the scorers chart with seven goals while Abdullahi Umar netted the only hat-trick.

Inter Lagos FC and Dakkada FC led the scoring charts in their respective conferences, each recording 14 goals, while Wikki Tourists followed with 10 goals.

On the other end, Igbajo United, Jigawa Golden Stars, and Zamfara United struggled in attack, scoring just two goals each.

Warri Wolves and Mighty Jets conceded fewest goals while Adamawa United netted the most goals.

The second stanza of the league will commence next month.
