Turkish Cup: Osimhen fires Galatasaray past Mourinho’s Fenerbahce

Victor Osimhen scored a brace as Galatasaray defeated Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce 2-1 in a Turkish Cup quarter-final clash at the Saracoglu Spor Kompleksi on Wednesday night.

Osimhen opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 10th minute after being teed up by Baris Yilmaz.

The powerful striker doubled the advantage from the penalty spot three minutes before the half-hour mark.

Osimhen was booked in the 85th minute of the thrilling encounter and was replaced by Alvaro Morata four minutes from time.

The 26-year-old has so far registered 27 goals and five assists in 32 appearances for the Yellow and Reds this season.

Sebastian Szymański scored Fenerbahce’s only goal of the game, while Bright Osayi-Samuel was an unused substitute for Fenerbahce.
