Trump stops financial flow, takes decisive action against Cartel de Sinaloa money launderer – Rubio

The United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, has said President Donald Trump’s administration has moved against money launderers of the Cártel de Sinaloa.

Rubio said Trump’s administration has taken decisive steps against money launderers of the notorious cartel.

He said the U.S. government has cut off financial flows to the cartel.

Posting on X, the Secretary of State said the measure would help safeguard the U.S. financial system.

Rubio noted that with the sanctions, the cartel can’t procure deadly drugs into the U.S.

He wrote: “The Trump Administration has taken decisive action against a network of money launderers for the notorious Cártel de Sinaloa.

“By cutting off financial flows to the cartel, these sanctions will safeguard the U.S. financial system, weaken the cartel’s ability to get deadly drugs into the U.S., and protect American lives.”
