Bundesliga: Orban vows to help Hoffenheim escape relegation

Hoffenheim striker Gift Orban has expressed his desire to help the club avoid relegation from the Bundesliga this season.

Christian Ilzer’s side, who have endured a troubled campaign, are fighting hard to maintain their top-flight status.

The Village Club currently occupy 14th position on the table with 27 points from 28 games.

Orban joined Hoffenheim from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon in January.

The Nigerian has scored four goals in his first seven appearances for the club.

The 24-year-old is eager to score more goals to help the team stay afloat.

“Hoffenheim is a good club, but in a difficult situation. Many clubs contacted me in the winter, but here the management treated me with respect and convinced me,” he told the club’s official website.

“I now want to score even more goals and work hard to ensure that we stay in the league.”
