Bundesliga: Boniface misses Leverkusen training ahead Union Berlin clash

Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface missed training on Tuesday (today) due to illness.

Boniface is however expected to be available for Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Union Berlin, according to Werkself Xtra.

The Nigeria international started Die Werkself’s win at Heidenheim last weekend.

The 24-year-old has battled with injuries this season, which has limited his appearance for the club.

Boniface has scored eight times in 17 league appearances for Leverkusen this season.

Xabi Alonso’s side will host Union Berlin at the BayArena on Saturday.

The holders, who occupy second position on the table, are six points adrift leaders Bayern Munich.
