NPFL: Rivers United will continue piling pressure on Remo Stars – Finidi

Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George has said it is important for his team to keep piling pressure on league leaders, Remo Stars.

The Port Harcourt club defeated Remo Stars 1-0 in a matchday 32 encounter at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt last weekend.

Rivers United cut Remo Stars’ lead to five points following the hard-earned victory.

With six games remaining before the end of the season, Finidi emphasized the need for his team to keep their feet on the ground.

“After this game, I think we have to see how we can win away from home and we can close up the gap. We will also be looking out for their next result and we will pile the pressure on them,” Finidi told reporters.

“We just have to keep pushing to keep piling the pressure on Remo. We will see how things go but for us, we want to keep winning.”

Rivers United will be away to Abia Warriors this weekend.
