Ganduje has no political value – Galadima

A notable stakeholder in the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Engr. Buba Galadima, has dismissed the political relevance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, declaring that the former Kano State governor has no political value and owes his current position solely to President Bola Tinubu.

Galadima made the remarks while reacting to claims that the NNPP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, was planning a return to the APC.

He accused Ganduje of using the NNPP and Kwankwaso’s name to remain in the media spotlight.

“I am hearing this from you. So, if we are going to APC, Nigerians will hear this from Ganduje? Even because of him, nobody would like to go to APC,” Galadima told The Guardian.

He further slammed the APC national chairman, saying, “It is only Tinubu that can make a Ganduje chairman of a party. How can Ganduje be chairman of anything?”

Galadima described the APC leadership as confused and struggling to stay relevant by spreading falsehoods about the NNPP and its members.

“They are the people who are keeping us in the press because they are confused. Everything is going asunder across the country,” he said. “These are the same people that use social media and propaganda to denigrate us in NNPP. If they are not claiming that Kwankwaso is working for President Tinubu, they will gossip that Kwankwaso is going to France to lobby Mr. President.”

He flatly denied any talks or intentions for Kwankwaso or the NNPP to return to the APC, saying, “There is nothing like that. I can tell you as a matter of fact.”

Galadima also took a jab at the APC’s obsession with the 2027 elections, stating that only politicians who have failed their people resort to politicking midway into their tenure.

“Only political failures talk about the next election in the middle of their terms,” he noted, insisting that the NNPP remains focused on delivering responsible and responsive governance.

His comments came in response to Ganduje’s earlier remarks at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, where the chairman said that Kwankwaso was expected to return to the ruling party following what he described as the collapse of the NNPP after the 2023 elections.
