Gov Idris not leaving our party – Kebbi APC

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kebbi State, Abubakar Muhammad Kana, has dismissed reports circulating on social media suggesting that Governor Nasir Idris is planning to leave the party.

Kana addressed the issue during a meeting of APC stakeholders, which included Governor Idris and his deputy, former Governor Sa’idu Dakingari, and the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly.

He stated that Kebbi State remains firmly under APC leadership and continues to make progress under the stewardship of Governor Idris.

“We are satisfied with the excellent performance of Governor Nasir Idris at the state level and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the federal level,” Kana stated.

“We are committed to working for their second term in office to continue the good work already started.”

In his response, Governor Idris attributed the defection rumours to misinformation and deliberate falsehoods spread by individuals with hidden agendas.

He reiterated his faith in God and his confidence in the trajectory of his administration.

“Kebbi is an APC state, and it will suffice and prosper. We remain resolute in our support for President Tinubu and confidence in his administration, now and in the next tenure, to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the citizenry,” the governor added.
