Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo‑Olu expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, will win the February 25 presidential election. He made the statement after a successful final rally for the APC hopeful held in Lagos on Tuesday, a day before the Independent National Electoral Commission’s deadline for candidates to conclude their campaigns. The event was attended by the outgoing President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
Writing on his official Instagram account, Governor Sanwo‑Olu—who is also seeking a second term—thanked Lagosians for their overwhelming support and for remaining faithful to the party and its presidential candidate. He urged supporters to turn out and vote this Saturday in the presidential polls, saying, “On Saturday we have another opportunity to consolidate the support you have shown our party. I urge you all to go to your polling stations and vote massively for the man who has the capacity to take the country to a different level of development. Let’s walk this talk, let’s make it happen. With your support, I have no doubt the APC will be victorious. Thank you once again and God bless you.”
