The vice‑presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Bishop Isaac Idahosa, says his party has a blueprint to change Nigeria’s fortunes and urges voters to support the NNPP in Saturday’s election. Speaking to journalists in Benin on Thursday, Idahosa emphasized that a vote for the NNPP translates into improved security, a stronger health‑care sector, infrastructural development, youth empowerment and better education.

Idahosa highlighted the experience of his principal, Rabiu Kwakwanso, asserting that he has the capability to lift the country out of its current “comatose” state. He stressed that Nigerians need a nation that works for everyone and called on citizens to go out and vote on Saturday. “Don’t allow your conscience to be bought with material things, as what you do on election day will affect you for the next four years. Eschew violence and don’t let anyone intimidate you at the polling station,” he added.

Regarding security, Idahosa said the NNPP would increase the size of the military and the Nigeria Police, equipping them with top‑notch technology to combat insurgency and protect lives and property. He also pledged to encourage local production of goods, which would benefit both the people and the economy, and affirmed that peace, justice and prosperity would be guaranteed under the party’s leadership.
