CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United off to Luanda Friday for Motema Pembe clash

Nigerian champions, Rivers United will depart for Luanda on Friday ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup clash against DC Motema Pembe of Congo Democratic Republic.

The players and their officials will fly out of the country via Ethiopian Airline on Friday morning.

The flight will take off from Nnamdi Azikiwe International, Airport.

The match will be played in Luanda on Sunday after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) failed to approve DC Motema Pembe’s home ground in Kinshasa for international competitions.

Rivers United defeated Cote d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosa 3-0 last weekend.

Stanley Eguma’s side lost their first game in Group B 3-0 to Diable Noirs of Congo.
