PDP Secretariat: ‘Wike no de look Uche face’ – Olayinka replies Caretaker chairman, Adeleke

Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday declared that the Minister remains resolute in the discharge of his duties.

Olayinka said despite the outcry that occasioned the sealing of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Secretariat, from the likes of PDP Caretaker Chairman in Ekiti State, Dare Adeleke, Wike remains resolute.

He noted that Adeleke, who holds dual office despite PDP’s constitution, lacks the moral standing to criticize the minister.

The FCT Authority had sealed the Secretariat alongside other properties for defaulting in paying their ground rent.

FCTA had revoked 4,794 land titles because the owners defaulted in paying their ground rent.

Officials of FCTA on Monday commenced the enforcement by sealing up default properties.

The Minister, however, soft-pedaled and issued a 14-day grace period following President Bola Tinubu’s intervention.

However, Olayinka warned defaulters that the grace period is remaining 12 days.

Posting on Facebook page, Olayinka wrote: “Dare Adeleke, the illegal Caretaker Chairman of PDP in Ekiti State too has been running his mouth on the PDP National Secretariat issue, just like his political mentor.

“Person wey dem relegate from Chairman of a major agency in Oyo State to Adviser without office.

“Abi which one is Special Adviser on Federal Constituency bayi?

“Anyways, 12 Days remaining for Outstanding Ground Rent and associated penalty to be paid. If una like, make una no pay. Wike no dey look Uche face.

“Section 48(1) of the PDP Constitution is clear on holding dual positions.

“Once you are a Political Appointee, you can’t hold any party position.

“But Dare Adeleke (from Ibadan) is Special Adviser (without office) to Oyo State Governor and at the same time, Caretaker Chairman of PDP in Ekiti State.

“He has been Ekiti PDP Caretaker Chairman since August 2024, despite that his tenure is 3 months, renewable only once.

“Dare Adeleke knows that he is illegally functioning as Ekiti PDP Caretaker Chairman, but a power monger that he is, he will keep playing ostrich to his own illegalities.”
