Presidential election: Rivers PDP Rep member arrested with $500,000 alleged Atiku money, sharing formula

Hours to the presidential election, a member of the House of Representatives, Chinyere Igwe has been arrested with $500,000 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Igwe, who represents the Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 2, is also one of the campaigners of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

He was arrested on Friday during a stop-and-search operation along Aba Road, Port Harcourt.

The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the development to Media Talk Africa.

According to her, “investigation is ongoing, and he will be charged to court when the investigation is completed.
