2027 election: We’ll triple Tinubu’s 2023 votes – Kebbi gov vows

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has pledged stronger support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election, assuring that the president would secure even more votes in the state than he did in 2023.

The governor made the declaration on Thursday during an event marking the second anniversary of his administration, held at the Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi.

Idris noted that prior to the emergence of the Tinubu-led federal government, Kebbi had seen little federal presence in terms of infrastructure and development. He credited the current administration with initiating a range of projects across the state.

“With the emergence of the Tinubu administration, Kebbi is now witnessing a series of developmental projects,” the governor said.

He also state that the people of Kebbi have no justification not to support Tinubu’s re-election bid, considering the level of federal intervention now being experienced.

“We will triple the votes President Tinubu got in 2023 come 2027,” he vowed, to loud applause from attendees.

“You hardly see a state where four former and serving governors come under one roof. This clearly shows Kebbi is an APC stronghold,” he said.
