ADC emphasizes transparency in coalition process, inclusiveness

The leadership of African Democratic Congress, ADC, has called on other political bigwigs to ensure that the coalition process is transparent and inclusive.

They said their platform will not be hijacked against the interest of the people.

They also cautioned participants to remain vigilant, warning that they will resist entrenched interests aimed at scuttling their mission.

In a statement signed by the national chairman, Chief Ralphs Nwosu, ADC said that certain groups, having cornered public resources for personal gains, are expected to fight back to maintain their grip on power.

Nwosu said that ADC plans to convoke a meeting of all coalition partners to address emerging issues to rescue Nigeria from the grip of nepotism, hunger, impunity, corruption, insecurity, insurgency, and poor governance.

He said the ADC will not function as “business as usual,” but as a national political force.

He said, “Political ideology and a genuine vision of nationhood must go beyond mere slogans and entitlement mindsets typified by the ‘it is my turn’ narrative.

“The challenges facing Nigeria amount to a national emergency that demands unity and collective action.”

According to Nwosu, Nigerians from all political backgrounds, including those with no political affiliations, were being registered as new members as the coalition gathered momentum.
