Trump Warns Iran of Retaliation at Unprecedented Levels if US Assets are Targeted Amid Escalating Conflict with Israel

The United States has issued a stern warning to Iran, threatening severe retaliation if the country targets American assets. US President Donald Trump cautioned Tehran that if it attacks the US in any way, it will face the “full strength and might” of the American military, with repercussions “at levels never seen before.” This warning comes amidst escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, with both countries engaging in a series of strikes and counter-strikes.

The situation began to unfold on Friday when Israel launched a series of airstrikes on multiple targets across Iran, including uranium enrichment sites and the assassination of senior military commanders and scientists. Israel described the attack as a preemptive measure to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear bomb. Iran, which has consistently denied pursuing a military nuclear program, responded by launching ballistic missiles at targets in Israel, including the country’s largest city, Tel Aviv.

The exchange of strikes continued overnight, with Israel targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure and sites allegedly related to the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons project. Tehran retaliated by firing more missiles at targets across Israel, resulting in the death of at least 10 people and injuring around 200 others, according to medics and media reports.

The US President’s warning to Iran was issued on his Truth Social platform, where he emphasized that America had no involvement in the initial attack on Iran. He also encouraged Tehran to return to diplomatic negotiations, suggesting that a deal between Iran and Israel could be easily achieved, thereby ending the conflict. However, the sixth round of nuclear talks scheduled to take place in Oman was canceled following the Israeli strikes.

Tehran’s ambassador to the UN, Amir Iravani, had previously stated that American support for West Jerusalem made Washington complicit in Israeli aggression against Iran. The situation remains volatile, with both sides trading blows and the international community watching with concern. As the conflict escalates, the threat of further retaliation and the potential for a wider conflict looms large. The US President’s warning serves as a stark reminder of the severe consequences that Iran could face if it chooses to target American assets.
