Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged victorious over both Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party in 12 local government areas of Oyo State, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The results from these local governments are as follows:
In Ibadan North West, Tinubu received 13,078 votes, while Abubakar garnered 6,011 votes and Obi secured 4,820 votes. In Kajola, the results were 11,917 votes for APC, 9,358 for PDP, and 503 for LP. Afijio saw Tinubu with 8,876 votes, Abubakar with 4,112, and Obi with 1,925. In Itesiwaju, the tally was 6,180 for APC, 4,948 for PDP, and 387 for LP.
Atisbo recorded 7,928 votes for APC, 4,031 for PDP, and 1,178 for LP. In Atiba, Tinubu received 15,046 votes, while Abubakar had 6,180 and Obi 1,234. Lagelu reported 16,011 votes for APC, 5,112 for PDP, and 4,066 for LP. Oyo West had 14,076 votes for Tinubu, 4,544 for Abubakar, and 1,724 for Obi.
Iseyin’s results were 19,731 votes for APC, 6,588 for PDP, and 1,371 for LP. Ibarapa East showed 10,575 votes for Tinubu, 4,800 for Abubakar, and 779 for Obi. In Saki East, the votes were 6,414 for APC, 3,634 for PDP, and 1,144 for LP. Ibarapa Central reported 10,291 votes for Tinubu, 5,169 for Abubakar, and 726 for Obi.
The results for Ibarapa North and Oyo East are still pending due to discrepancies in the figures. The center has temporarily adjourned and will reconvene at 4 PM today, as announced by Professor Babatunde Olusola, the acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, who is serving as the state collation officer.
