#NigeriaElections2023: Mark’s daughter, Akume’s wife, others win Rep seats in Benue

Blessing Onuh, daughter of a former president of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has won her re-election in Otukpo/Ohinmimi federal constituency.

Mrs Onuh contested her re-election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress.

Mrs Onuh polled 29,031 votes to defeat his closest rival Alex Ogbe of PDP who pulled 21,741.

Also, the wife of Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, Regina Akume, has won the election of Tarka/Gboko Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressive Congress.

The former first lady of Benue State between 1999/2007 defeated the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party and incumbent federal lawmaker, John Dyeh to clinch the seat.

Mrs Akume polled 47,086 to defeat the PDP candidate who polled 24639

Other APC candidates who won the last Saturday election are David Ogewu of Oju/ Obi federal constituency, Agbese Philip Ado/ Okpokwu/ Ogbadibo, Achado Asema Gwer/Gwer-West, Sekav Iyortyom Buruku.
